Thanksgiving Break has come and gone. Suprisingly, it went by quite slow. Usually breaks always seem too short. A lot went on over break. The first weekend there was the last Hawkeye football game. The Hawks won in convincing fashion over Minnesota. It was a great way to end the regular season. It sticks in my mind still: What would have happened if they Hawks didn't play two lousy halfs in the Michigan and Northwestern games? We could be talking about another Big Ten Championship, but oh well there is more to life than football and as Julie says, "Life will go on." Also, that weekend Julie stayed at our house. We went downtown Saturday night for a friend's 22nd birthday. We went to the Field House with Ryan and Kari Stevens. It was quite fun. It got a little hot and crowded, but it was good to get out.

During the week I worked a lot. I should be getting a nice paycheck though. It might have been the last time I ever work full time a the dental office again. They have hired another chairside assistant and really don't need me much anymore. It is alright because I need to study more and relax a little before next year when dental school begins. Also, time off means I might be able to visit Matt and Rachel in Omaha with Ben. Sounds like a fun time, I can't wait!

Well on Thanksgiving mom, dad, uncle Gerald, and I went to Mt. Pleasant and had a plethora of entrees and side dishes. First was my mom's side of the family where we had lasagna. Later that night we went to my dad's side and had a more traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

On Saturday Matt and Rachel came back from Omaha, Jane came from Madison, and grandma came up from Mt. Pleasant. It was a great time. We all went to Bob's Your Uncle for dinner and had pizza. Later that night Matt, Rachel, and I all went downtown to Brother's to hang out with some of my brother's friends. It was absolutely a great time. I happened to meet up with some girls I knew from high school that now go to college on the east and west coasts. I cut the rug on the dance floor a few times and had an absolute blast. I really like going out and dancing. I may not be good, but most of the time no one is any better than you are, so you just have to go out there and have a good time.

On Sunday Gary, Judy, Scott, and Julie all came over to have the more traditional Thanksgiving dinner with everyone at our house. Again, it was a lot of food and it was all very tasty. Jane even brought lingenberries from Ikea, so it had a little Swedish style along with it. Later on we mostly sat around and visted until everyone went home. It was a fun packed week that was long awaited because of all the stress from school.
