Over the weekend Jane and Tom came down from Wisconsin to visit for Mother's Day. It was fine time. On Saturday, we biked downtown Iowa City for dinner at the Atlas World Grill. It was delicious and a fun time. On Sunday, we headed to Mt. Pleasant to visit everyone there. We had a nice lunch outside. Then we made a trip to Eastlake Park. Julie, Judy, Scott, and I took advantage of the nice weather to bike there. A few laps around the lake and we headed home.
On Tuesday, I decided to ride with the group rides that leave from College Green Park. They are sort of considered the elite ride in the Iowa City area. I found out soon that it was not a lie. Extremely fast pace. Needless to say I didn't last very long, but it is something to work towards. Also, this guy --> (http://team.discovery.com/bios/mccartney.html) showed up and I got to ride with him. I was psyched.
It is also ride your bike to work week. I've been riding (like usual) to school each day. There was free breakfast on Monday and Tuesday. Tonight was a LARGE group ride which went from the New Pioneer Co-op in Iowa City to the New Pioneer Co-op in Coralville. There was music and free food at the end! It was a blast. Friday there is a get together at Fitzpatricks in Iowa City. I think I may show up.
Today was a monumental day at school. We had our local anesthesia practical. We administered anesthetic to other members in our class. We had to do 9 injections! It was really an amazing feeling. I actually really enjoyed it. I would submit a sample photo, but I know many people don't really care to see it:)
